Impact to society
It goes without saying that without the assembly line our lives would very much be more complicated. Not as many people would be buying things because of the low rate at which they are being produced, and the world wouldn't have as much access to any products. Back in the 20th century a car was a very rare occurrence until the emergence of the assembly line. They were extremely expensive and only the wealthiest Americans owned one. When Ransom Olds and Henry Ford made their contributions to make the assembling process, almost everyone owned a vehicle, and the price was drastically low. The same goes for today. The necessities that we use in our daily lives would be scarcer and more expensive without the creation and innovation of the assembly line. We have added robotics to further improve the speed that products are made at, and made them for cheap prices.
